When it comes to upgrades you have two choices, do them prior to putting the house on the market, or reduce the price enough to make the home attracticve to buyers without the upgrades. I would do the upgrades. A lot of buyers will not even look at house that is not updated. And the ones who will are looking for a real bargain. They will not only want to save the cost of the upgrades, but something more to compensate them for the time and trouble of doing the work themselves. It is definitely a buyer's market there, you can easily get a 3/2 townhome for mid 200's. Some in Meadowbrook farms have been selling for even less. It depends. 1900 is a pretty big townhome. Average sale price for a 3 bedroom home in Mine Hill for the past 12 months is about 225k. So hopefully, that helps answer your question.
The town of Mine hill is a nice small community to raise a child. Neighboring Dover, Randolph, Roxbury Twp and Wharton. Is located close to routes 46,80,10 and two train stations for easy commute. It's close to all shopping. Mine Hill has an excellent K-6 school system. The Canfield Avenue School is a Blue Ribbon School and has been declared a National School of Excellence.... more
