You can do a few things. I would start by checking for information concerning the exact address online. I would find out who the 'block captain' is, and consider shooting them an email. Finally, I would speak to an Agent. They usually have access to MLS and they can find out if there is any listing associated with the home. Remember, a vacant or damaged home is not necessarily for sale!

Google the Property Valuation Administration in your area (who you pay your real estate taxes to). They should be able to give you a name and mailing address. If you want to buy it, call a local Realtor and they should be able to navigate the deal for you.... more

Have you tried emailing or calling the listing agents for those properties to see if they have photos and if they do, if they could send them over to you? You can also try google maps to get an idea of what the exterior looks like.... more

The property is currently listed for $209,900 and the person purchased the property for $129,000. That's only a $80,900 difference. It also shows a settlement date of November 2002. However, I think that it's incorrect and should show as 2003. So it's either 7 or 8 years.
I think that given a typical economy, this place would have been priced properly. With that being said and not knowing what improvements that may or may not have been made, I think this property may only be $20K or so off the mark.... more
