I think goodies and pens etc do work based on what I have seen in the past in a couple of offices. I also think its sad that it works because it has little to do with talent and offering the end user/client the best results. If I'm looking for a home inspector, the most important thing for me personally is that the inspector is an addition to the great 100% customer service approach that I want my clients to experience. This means that the education and experience of the home inspector is of paramount importance. I want to move forward on deal with a client knowing that we are doing so will full confidence. As I said in the beginning I've seen certain agents act like kids at Christmas over a few pens and some free sticky notes :-) Good luck with your business.... more
If the sellers can close without the bank having to accept less than the amount owed for the mortgage that it does not appear to be a short sale. I would not cancel the short sale, becasue the home may not appraise or the deal may fall thru for other reasons.... more

I believe the rule you are refering to is the result of a Florida Supreme Court ruling on April 15, 2010 pertaining to Rule 10-2.1(A) Of "The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar". This has to do with the forms used for a residential lease. This link has a good explanation in answer to your question:

With the questions you have asked over the last couple of days I would suggest that instead of hypothesizing how Real Estate should work, that you instead concentrate on getting one on one with a client and selling them a home and making money. Nothing else matters if that isn't accomplished. Too many people try to make this job way to difficult. The agents who are successful are the ones who pound the basics and who will pick up the phone and make an appointment. In order to provide an opinion it would depend on whether the discussion is regarding national or local Real Estate. Naples has shown an inventory reduction and in some areas of the market price increases. No one has a crystal ball, but in my opinion we have suffered through the worst in our market and are at the early stage of a recovery. I believe, as a Realtor, I should select properties to show based on customer desires not commision or other compensation. Some agents do search the MLS based on commision rate and/or bonus offered. It does give additional exposure to listings. I leave it up to a seller if they would like to offer a bonus.... more

I believe that VIP members receive an increased ranking in Trulia Voices and the Find a Pro directory; the higher the level of VIP, the more exposure.

VRBO (vacation rentals by owners) is a site you may want to advertise on. You may have to have the owner agree to let you market it there. Craigs List is another site I hear agents talk about posting rental properties.

Search on Google and register, it is an all day task. The Bpo's are not that fun and pay is not good so don't expect to make a living off of it.
