I'll refer you to the answer I left in your other question of this ilk.
It is against Fair Housing laws for the agents on these forums to answer that question. You are free to investigate yourself. Drive by at different times of day. Walk the neighborhood. Check out crime statistics on the Philadelphia Police website. Talk to neighbors, etc...
If you have interest in specific properties, i would be happy to help you out, or at least guide you in what is available in the area.

I understand considering moving to any area is an important decision but fexeral law prohibits real estate agents from making comments about areas.Another point is one person will like an area & another person may not.It is a personal preference. I can suggest to go online & google Mayfair and you will see information about the area. You can also go to the Philadelphia police dept. website.

Many people who are selling their current home and looking for a new property use their past realtor. That is the way that I get the majority of my business. If you had a decent experience that may be the way to go. If you had an upleasant experience I with my 28 years experience can walk you through step by step.
You will want to get a CMA (comparative market analysis) for your current home to see what your proceeds might look like. Once you determine a market value you can get an idea of what your next property value may be. As in your past deal you will need a mortgage pre-approval (if you are getting financing).

Regarding the resale value, I would say that it depends what part of Mayfair? Is it East or West Mayfair? As for crime, there are websites to search for the crime rates in particular areas. I do believe that West Mayfair is a very good place to live, especially for the amount that you may spend. Try to stay away from the East Mayfair section if you can, I just don't trust the resale value of that section. You can email me at email@example.com or call me at 215-676-0863. Thank you and God bless.... more
'The best thing to do is call a real estate agent and tell them you are interested in selling your home. They will do a consultation and together you decide what to sell the house for.

Below is a good link for keeping track of reported crimes in the area. It lists the type of crime, when it occurred, and where it occurred. It may be wise to track this for a bit to determine if you feel the neighborhood is safe. Hope this helps.

I have always found that via Google search you can find a lot of good user generated content on cities around the country, city-data.com has been reliable for me in the past.
for example, I have found similar questions answered on a few other sites:
