It would probably depend on the home in particular. Some homes look better with different blinds than other. My parents are actually looking to replace all of their blinds and have asked me to help them chose them. http://www.toowoonbaycarpets.com.au/products... more
You,are looking at between $100 to $110 in Cape Coral. There are not a lot of new houses being built off the water but the last house that I was involve with cost $120 sq/ft. It has some pretty good upgrades, such as wood cabinets and granite countertops. That's high end. If you are just building an average house. Figure about 110.... more
Tile in the kitchen and bathrooms is a more durable material. Water run off from the bath or sink can cause problems to hardwood. Power outages can defrost ice makers in the kitchen and cause wood damage. Tile in the bedrooms always gets a thumbs down from my clients. Carpet and hardwood are the way to go for bedrooms. It all about what you want but for a resale value I would avoid tile in the bedrooms.... more
I think granite is still in, most of my clients still prefer granite over anything else. I have noticed a change in appliances from stainless to brushed aluminum because it reduces fingerprints.... more
My parents purchased a home that needed a complete overhaul. They called a landscape designer, which turned out to be a fantastic idea. The service they hired factored in weather conditions, angles, and the routine care and maintenance to build the perfect introduction to their home.

It would depend on the garden style in particular. Some look better with wood and others look better with metal. I would recommend looking at references or photos and see what you like the best. http://www.anotchaboveaffordablefence.com/services... more
I want to get the flooring in my home replaced. Hardwood might be okay for some areas. There are also places where I think tile would be a much safer choice like my kitchen.
The upkeep of landscaping is going to be more important than how much of it is done. I think if you plan it well enough you could do some simple landscaping and one of those additions or remodels. If you are trying to nail down what you want to do quickly, you should talk to a real estate agent about what sells well in your area. That would be a good way to find out what to start with.
It depends on who you ask. If you are just doing landscaping simply to improve the visual look of your home, then of course it's worth it. Having good landscaping is going to make it look better. My landscaping is terrible and I am not proud of coming home to a bad yard every night. http://www.nakatalandscaping.com/services... more
I agree that the type of flooring has to go with the flow of the house. There are a lot of buyers out there that have a certain idea of how things should be decorated. Some buyers will love tile and others will hate it. It all comes down to who is interested in the house and what they like. http://naplesflooringgallery.com/... more
The cost of pavers is as high as carpet. You need to learn about quality, design. The labor cost varies. You need to inspect hopefully the contractors recent work and contact his past clients for proof.... more
If you are looking for good ideas for landscaping, first it is good to know what your yard is like. You want something that fits with the rest of your home well. If you have natural hills, then you can use those to your advantage by getting larger rocks or planting flower gardens at higher points. If you don't, then it might be a good idea to get some trees and fountains. However, landscaping can be difficult to design on your own, so it might also be a good idea to get some professional opinions! http://www.landscapeseast.com/services/index.php... more
