Have lived in Lehigh Acres for eight years and counting and have not experienced any type of crime what so ever. It mostly depends on what part of Lehigh Acres that you live in. I know people that live in SW Lehigh Acres that tell me if you have anything it must be locked up in your garage or it will be stolen. Looking at the crime statistics where I live in the NE part of town has a low or almost non existent crime rate. If you live in SW Lehigh Acres, there is a high amount of crime. Check Lehigh Acres crime statistics to find out if the area that you wish to live in is safe. I do and have left property in plain sight and nothing has ever been touched. My neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Other neighborhoods are quite the opposite. That's my opinion. You can research crime statistics by neighborhood and validate my claims. Thanks for the question and I hope that I've been of some help.... more

As for schools, take either the morning or afternoon off, speak with school administrators and more important speak with parents picking up or dropping their kids off. Parents love to talk about their kids schools. You can also call the school, leave your contact information and ask for a parent to call you back.
As for getting information from websites - use it as a guideline but it's never 100% accurate.... more
