Everyone below for the most part is correct. Although I do contract for deed homes I would not advise it with such a short timeline. You may qualify for the FHA back to work program (the one with extenuating circumstance/hardship), but even if you don't it sounds like you can buy in the spring.
CREDIT is the biggest challenge I see the most working with my own clients. If you do not work hard to re-establish credit after bankruptcy the timeline does not matter. Take the time now to start working with a Realtor and loan officer on your credit, so that way you can buy a home in the shortest period of time.
