Hi Chenel, having graduated from essex county vo-tech myself many years ago, i felt the school prepares a student mostly for professions of trade. I am also familiar with the WO high school system and many students that have graduated from there feeling they had the preparation needed to head into college. Try interviewing the schools to see what extra programs or curriculum they offer students and their statistics and also speak with current/former students and/or their parents.
I am a licensed Realtor in Ga and NJ so feel free to contact me directly if i can be of assistance to answer any other questions you may have or to assist you with selling your current home. Best with choosing the perfect school!

As stated below, if you buy a house in West Orange, your children would attend a West Orange public school unless of course you choose to send them to a private school. The town you buy in will be the public school your child attends. Thus, a part of your property tax is for the school system in the town where you bought your home.
Some towns have several grammar schools within the same town. Should you decide you want your child to attend a certain grammar school in a certain area of town and are considering buying a home in that area of town just for the school, it is imperative that you call the Board of Education because they do reserve the right to change the grammar school your child may attend. Always check with the Board of Education in a town and do not rely upon a real estate agent or even the owner or neighbors of a property for sale regarding which school your child will attend.
