At this point Falmouth schools do not allow non-resident students to attend, so the answer is no... In this case however, residency may be in the form of renting or owning real estate. There are properties in that price range in Falmouth as well. As a Falmouth resident myself, I know the market and inventory very well. Contact me. I'd be happy to help!

What a a great question. Where you choose to live affects your childs friends and life. I have lived in Windham for 20 years, both of my children went to school here in Winhdam, and I am married to a Windham teacher. I think you have to look at overall quality of life, and special programs offered through the community and school system. RSU 14 ranks in the top 20 School Districts in the state. Housing in Windham is generally overall less expensive with pricing and taxes. Looking at financing, your options for 100% financing may benefit you. (this may change in March of 2013.) I would be happy to discuss the local market, pros and cons, and show you properties. I work stictly as a buyer's agent. I am happy to provide you with references from some of my clients with children in the school system, and let you make your own choices!

You really cannot do better than Gorham, Maine for schools. The classes aren't crowded. The teachers for the most part have at least a masters degree. Each year, Gorham's schools consistently finish at the top of the list for Maine following the state-wide testing given to the students. Gorham has three elementary schools, Village, Narragansett, and Great Falls. The Great Falls school just opened this year and is a state of the art school with computer labs, science lab rooms, computer projectors and smart boards in each class room. The middle school is less than 10 years old. The High School recently underwent renovations and additional expansion/renovations are planned. School sports are an important part of the community. Many families move to Gorham just for the schools. You really cannot do better in the state when it comes to a great public education.... more
