ANYWAY, when I saw you have approved lots and then I saw Greenville, have you seen the prices of houses in Greenville? MY POINT Find a reputable Realtor & or Builder... a few possibilities. Find out WHAT SCHOOL DISTRICT (unless you already know) and go from there. There are MANY couples from Manhattan that would love to raise their families in Greenville. Best of luck to you.

There's no set commission fee anywhere in the country, as this would violate anti-trust laws. Commission rates are negotiable between you and the agent you hire. Rates tend to range in the 5-6% range for residential real estate, but I've certainly seen them listed both higher and lower than this.
Depending on the market in Port Jervis; the rate may less important than the marketing and services the agent you hire provides. When interviewing Realtors this is what I'd be questioning them about. I'd also want to know how many transactions they've closed in the past year and what the average amount of those transactions was.
