Jessica Brooks answered:
I may be buying an empty lot from a private owner in the 9th ward on Lamanche street, for 3200 dollars. Is that a good deal & will it depreciate?
I live in the Lower 9th ward and I think it is a little steep but I think in the next year or two, it may be worth it. The ninth ward is coming up slowly but it's coming up.

Offering in my in my view, only 75% to 85% of the sale price would be way out of line. One property I am considering is asking price 375,000 75%
David,
This type of offer, based on nothing more than a list price is more likely to offend a seller and get a very negative response.
