Is the seller or his agent responsible for active termite infestation and damage when they furnished us a Termite Inspection that said -no termites?
Its always best to conduct your own inspections during the inspection period stated on your contract. You have obviously spoken to the sellers agent, have you spoken to your agent?

Do I have to pay for sidewalk repairs for a house I no longer own?
Check with an attorney, but my instincts say no. Whoever owned the home at the time the repairs were made should be responsible. Just check with an attorney to be sure.
