It will really depend on what you put into your home (such as tile flooring vs. vinyl, if you would like granite counter tops vs. the traditional Formica, etc.....). Do you already have a lot? Typically you could plan for something between $98-125 per square foot. If you want to contact me directly I can put you in touch with a few builders and we can talk more about your budget, etc.... more
Please save yourself some time and energy, contact a Realtor to get the answers to your questions about most homes that are listed in your community. Most good Realtors have the ability to find out information about a home, even if it is not listed on the local MLS... more
Also remember that although agents may appear to be on your side they only get paid if you buy or sell and although they are paid on percentage that is usually insignificant when compared to the percentage lost by the seller.
Hi, The actual worth is technically what a buyer is willing to pay for it. You can only get an estimated range based on sales within the last six months in your area. The most accurate infor comes from the local MLS which only agents have access to. Othersise you have to rely on sites like Zillow to hopefully be correct.
Right now I would have to give you an educated guess as our MLS doesn't support that data showing whether or not the purchase was by an investor. From what I see, about 15% is investor driven in my market area closer to Oshkosh... more
With interest rates at historical lows it is a great time to buy. A lot of times it is cheaper to buy than rent. The most importnant thing to remember is to buy a home in an area where you plan to live and work for the next few years. Buying a home is a protection of rents going up and dealing with a land lord. Do not buy a home because you think the value will increase. Homes do appreciate most of the time but recent years have taught us that this does not happen all the time.
Make sure to get yourself pre-approved for a mortgage before you go out house hunting. This will allow you to know how much home you can afford.... more
There are some great homes on the "island" Doty Island that is. You can find just about every type of property you could ever want. Start a a million plus and work your way down it is all a matter of what you are interested in and what you want to spend. The are many parks within walking distance and many quaint shops downtown as you know. Want to know what a certain home would rank as a walk score??? Got to www.walkscore.com. This is a site that I use to see how a property would "rate" in relation to walking distance. Check it out. I also have posted a link to the homes that are currently for sale in the Neenah area.
Best of luck with your search and if you ever need assistance please contact me.

There are many reasons to buy a home. It is always a great investment, but should not be looked at as a way to make a quick buck. Real estate is a long term investment in your future. Interest rates are great right now. You could wait and end up with a higher rate. If the rate drops enough you can always refiance. Check with a lender in your area to see what type of loan you qualify for and what your rate would be. That is the best place to start.... more
