In your case, if you were a serious buyer, you would have contacted your REALTOR or the listing agent.
You did neither.
Instead you post your question on the internet.
The self selection process did EXACTLY what it was intended to do.
If the image of a bathroom or bedroom is the foundation for your criteria to buy, you are too far upstream to be taken seriously.

Ask in a general way without giving your social to avoid a credit check right away -- just general research. It will be complicated to apply for a loan where three couples (six persons) buying the home. It appears that it will be much easier and cheaper for each couple to make an equal contribution to the purchase price and the repairs costs using HELOC. Consider forming LLC to buy the property and have a partnership agreement to avoid disappointments later. Good luck.... more
