Also, rents seem to be increasing so perhaps it would be in your best interest to start looking at homes. Let me know if I can further assisst you. Best, Joshua Rabinovitz.... more

Tiffany that is a loaded question since REALTORS are forbidden by law to steer, blockbuster anyone from any specific area based on race, religion, etc.. However I am not a REALTOR and can answer the question but I can tell you that LA OS so diverse it really doesn't matter that much. What you probably want to learn are the areas that meet your lifestyle, crime, etc
. Because honestly LA is a melting pot. There are areas that are predominantly black but may not have the things that meet your personal needs. As a minority myself I was never more than half hour away from my people. I too am originally from NY and had lived in LA

I searched a couple of sources for you to review the statistics. You are welcome to click (or copy and paste as the case may be) on the links to go directly to the information. As a real estate professional I do not personally track these stastics but do rely on other sources for the information.
I don't work in that market but the agents are going to want to know some basics, probably starting with price. From there they would need to know what your prefered commute time is, style of home, townhouse vs. single family home, etc. The more information that you can give to us now the better the answer will be.
