There are two condo projects in Lead. I'm a little confused about the address of your question. There is 121 Wall Street, which is the old Central School condos. They take one school room and turn it into a one bedroom condo or two school rooms and blow a hole in the wall to make a larger, two bedroom condo. This project has had a hard time getting off the ground. Slated for 40 some condos, 8 of which have been built & sold. The rest of the buildings are still to be turned into condos and are just empty.
Then there is 744 Prospect, Lead. This is an apartment building they turned into condos. All condos have been sold & some are up for resale. Some owners use these as vacation rentals or month to month rentals.

Since January 1, 2012, twenty-one houses under $100,000 in Lead, SD have sold. There are 36 homes on the market right now under $100,000 in Lead. It is still a buyer's market for homes in Lead (unlike Spearfish). Older homes on hillsides tend to have......issues....sometimes. Lead also gets more snow and does have steeper streets, so the older population may not like that as much as someone who enjoys skiing and other winter activities. Hope this helps! I have represented sellers and buyers for homes in Lead and other communities.

The market has been doing well in our area compared to most of the country. We are continuing to grow and many great things going on to continue the growth. The average time on the market for this price range is around 100 days. It also depends on when you put it on the market as far as time for construction. It seems most new construction in this price range sells when it is complete, but there are definately exceptions.... more
