It's hard to answer this question since everyone has a different perception of "nice".
Creekside is just off Irlo Bronson Memorial so it's convenient for sure. Homes in this area sell from 135-170k. The community is a mix of owner occupants, and both long and short term renters.
I personally live in Kissimmee not even five miles away and I have two school aged children in local schools. I have enjoyed living here and so has my family.
If you're looking for more hard core data in schools and crime I suggest you contact the Osceola County School System and Kissimmee Police.... more

There are a few thrift stores in Kissimmee... Goodwill, Salvation Army and a couple of others. There's also craigslist.com. I've also been to a few auction houses in Saint Cloud that can have great deals on everything from patio furniture to sofas and decorative items.
