Participating in or owning a private well, as opposed to government ownership of the water supply, takes some getting used to. Many people own their own wells or are part of a community water use association. Those people who have owned wells are used to the idea and have some knowledge of how the aquifer, well and well equipment works. They are also familiar with the contractors who service this industry.
