Try searching rentals on Craigslist. A lot of those properties are listed for rent by the owners who may not require strict credit guidelines. Also, it may be a good time to work with a lender to improve your credit score. It may not be as hard as you think. I believe the minimum credit score lenders will accept is a 580, so you're close! Speak to a mortgage lender that knows about credit, they can have you pay off a couple things and do a rapid rescore to increase your score and hopefully get you qualified.
