Good Morning
Depending on the time of day going from Trophy Club to downtown Fort Worth is anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour. Not really sure where in Fort Worth you are going to the bottleneck right now tends to be at 35 and 820 and then there is often a second bottleneck as you approach Northside drive heaading into downtown. Coming back 820 again will slow things down and then there is a second slow down at the 287 split where the lanes go down to 2. Hope this helps!

Some of the answers that have preceeded mine contain valuable information. The first thing you need to do is contact an experienced Realtor and discuss your personal situation. We need to talk about where you are going to work, and what your capabilities are. Whether you are buying ro renting, the school question remains the same. Everybody will tell you the schools are best in their neighborhood; don't believe it. On average, the schools in the big cities are not as well rated as the smaller, suburban school districts. We will need to discuss finances; for example, ---can you afford to live in the best school districts? There are many things to consider.
The DFW metroplex is a lovely area, and I have been selling & leasing homes here for over 30 years. I think I can guide you in the right direction, and provide you with enough infomation to make an intelligent decision. Different subdivsions have different personalities, and we can talk about what you want for your children. I just recently helped a single mom with 3 girls get settled here. There are many nice parks and areas for the kids to play in. We even have a nice park just for dogs!
Give me a call if you want friendly, personalized service.

Yes, there are many highly regarded schools in this area. I have a booklet with Texas ratings of the schools. I've scanned in the pages if you'd like it, I'm happy to provide. However, keep in mind that one parent's definition of "good school" may differ greatly from your family's definition of "good school", so be careful when listening to friends' and co-worker's and other advice. If what you value in a school is not what someone elses values, then you're hearing misguided advice. To you it may be curriculum, but to another parent it may be one thing only: TAKS test scoring. To another parent it may be student to teacher ratio, or extra-curricular activities. Know what means more to you, then work with an agent who can help you find THAT type of school and area and neighborhood. I'd be happy to share these resources with you and your family. I am a REALTOR in Tarrant County. I grew up in Decatur and i sell all of Tarrant, Wise, etc.
All of the schools in N. Tarrant County are great! The best athletics are in Southlake/Carroll, Grapevine/Colleyville, Keller, and Northwest ISD. They are also academically fantastic, only varying by degrees. Decatur is also great. It is a slower pace with the students being of more varied backgrounds. I suggest that you visit all of the areas and then you can decide which suits you and your family the best.... more
