I know this question is a few weeks old, but I thought I'd answer it for you. The county record shows the property to be 2.89 acres. The issue will need to be addressed with the assessors office to make that change. You might take your current survey and deed there, and clarify the oversight if there is one. Best of luck. Have you been able to find the right home in Elkins yet? If not, take a look at this link: http://johnhelm.exitprorealty.com/listings/areas/36270/beds/1/baths/1/sort/price+asc/ and you'll see how many homes with Elkins addresses are currently available. Many homes in the Elkins area don't actually have an Elkins address. They may actually have a Fayetteville address. If you need more information on that, just let me know.
