Yes, my office CENTURY 21 At The Shore Realty did one a few months ago.
We had a speakers panel with representation of a lawyer, a title company, a home inspection company, a mortgage rep. Each person spoke for about 10-15 minutes on their profession and what their part in a real estate transaction was all about.
After the presentations were done we opened the meeting up to questions from the floor.
Even though the event was not well attended (we had 5 attendees), we feel that it was a success.
Every one there asked loads of questions.
We served refreshments of coffee, tea, water and lots of cookies, pastries and of course, chips.
It was held at our local Recreation building at night for 2 hours.
We ended the meeting with door prizes and since there were so few people in attendance, everyone went home with something nice.
Next month we are planning on doing a seminar called "Stopping Foreclosures".
The content of the meeting will be offering some education to homeoweners on their options to avoiding losing their homes to foreclosure. We will have a lawyer there and a mortgage rep to speak.
We believe that we will have a lot of people in attendance for this one.
