Your community association charges for your land, and the ameneties as well. They have remedies available to them that can allow them to evict you. You need to look up the docs signed when you moved in to get the specifics. The ammenety fee in your community is much lower than most.

This sounds like it could be a real touchy situation. The mortgage has to be dealt with along with the people that are in the house, they may need to be evicted and there are proceedures that have to be followed there especially if they have a lease or permission to be there from the owner. My advice would be to contact a good real estate attorney.

We just closed on a short sale last month. It took the bank 5 weeks to get an appraisal done but after that we got an answer right away. They countered with the exact price that it appraised at. In my case this was a great deal because the appraised it as land only and then subtracted the price to remove the structures. The house needs a lot of work but can be salvaged. When the bank countered they gave us 5 hours to accept or deny. We accepted and then it took 3 more weeks to close. Its frustrating but if you really want the property just hang in there.... more
