Trulia has many homes on the site for informational purposes. In this case, your home is on the site, but it is clearly NOT marked "For Sale." it merely lists tax appraisals and Public record information for research purposes of others in your area doing similar research as yourself. Home selling can sometimes be overwhelming. How do you intend to sell the homes? I'm assuming separately. As far as the percentage, that is mostly up to you. Some companies require 6%. I understand sellers would like to get the most out of the sale of their home as possible. Yet, sometimes listing at a lower commission can actually hurt the sales price. Some Realtors will skip over showing a home with a low commission. I don't agree with the idea, but if they can sell their client a similar home, at a higher commission, they will logically prefer to do so. It's completely possible that you may end up getting a higher price for your home, if you list it at a 6%+ commission rate. Want to sell quickly? List at 7%, or offer a bonus to the buyers agent.
