Chapter 7 only happens when someone gets over their head in debt. The reasons can vary from health issue, loss of job, failure of a business or divorce, but the one landlords fear is someone who just isn't responsible. Yes, you have no debts, but your previous creditors didn't get paid. It may not be your fault, but no one wants to line up to be the next one who doesn't get paid.
If you want to improve your chances, write a letter explaining what happened and that you have learned from your mistakes. If you truly have, you can recover and eventually get credit again, if not you may end up in BK again in 10 years.... more
