Depends on just how poor the credit is; also much will depend on the landlord/building, each is different; however you can consider being upfront regarding your credit; be prepared to show proof of employment/pay stubs; possibly pre-pay some of the rent; possibly offer extra security; have some reference letters handy; consider a guarantor, etc.... more
yes there are. You can actually search for rentals on lasvegasrealtor.com. Or you can go door-to-door to the various realtor offices and get a list. Sometimes they don't put them on lasvegasrealtor.com because they don't way to pay other agents to find a tenant. Also the bulletin boards in town often have ads; you can also drive around, look on bouldercitysocial.com, and just ask around. We are a friendly town!... more
sales have been brisk, and we have only 103 properties available. Our "normal" is 120, so we are definitely short. This is a good time to sell, if you can get over the shock of the price drops that we have experienced. Some areas (like the Lake area) are doing well. It just depends on what you have and where it is. I've been here 32 years, and I've seen us with lots of houses and almost no houses.... more
