I have just ran into this myself with a client. I turned out that he declared Chapter 7 and his attorney declared the residence as his principle residence. I had my attorney pull up his bankruptcy and the Bankruptcy attorney claimed the home as "Exempt". It is best to consult your attorney or take your paperwork to another attorney. Hello Angie, First Congratulations for selling your home.You can negotiate everything in a contract. In Bedford, generally the seller pays for the well and septic. This is usually spelled out in the contract.
Usually this done by the same person who performs the termite inspection and carries a very reasonable fee.... more
