Usually landlords charge pet fees for dogs to cover damages to the exterior - lawns, pats, etc. There is usually larger deposit that covers damages to the interior(if any) - damaged carpet, fleas infestations, etc.

Typically yes, however with proper disclosure you might want to advertise it as a bedroom. There are many ways to easily install a closet. You can check the county recorder's office to see if there has been a notice of trustee sale recorded against the property. If there has been a notice filed, it will have a trustee sale date and location listed on the notice. Also, there will be a Trustee assigned to the sale. At any time you can contact the trustee listed to find out if the trustee sale is still on schedule or if it has been postponed or not.... more
The utilities are outrageous. I grew up in Scottsdale and lived in Fountain Hills and Mesa. Scottsdale has the least expensive utilities and Mesa water is high. None compare to Maricopa. Water is $100 per month PLUS usage. So the minimum is $100. Electricity is also through the roof. 3 bedroom, no pool and 2100 square feet we pay $350-$460.
Whatever you save on the cost of housing you make up in utilities.... more
