I'm a Realtor and parent in Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor is a "school of choice" community, meaning, if your you want your child to go to Skyline and there's a spot already, he/she is in. If you child was already attending and you move, there's a spot for them and they can stay, this has been my experience here. Best to call your school but they try not to rip a child out of a school they have already been attending just because they move. You will need to find a way to get them there, the bus system will not deviate from it's assigned path, but it might be as easy as taking him/her to an already assigned pick up spot on your way to work.

Can I suggest using a realtor? Houses are going for OVER asking price and by 40 thousand. But, you need to know how to negotiate these deals. Home sales are with an agent get 27% more money. This will more than cover the agent 6% and you won't need to hire a lawyer or try to market this yourself, which you can't do to the extent that I can. I have buyers for your home right now. Be aware that scams do exist; be mindful that such web sites are third party sites, they are not real estate companies and used for advertising purposes; the information is fed by various sources, therefore data is not really verified. If you choose not to work with an agent of your own always verify ownership before exchanging any money/personal information--make certain they are who they claim to be. Nearly EVERYONE prefers a 'never lived in before' home. (+$40,000)
Most builder grade accessories have a 10 year life expectancy. A five year old home is at half life. (-$5,000) to (-$25,000) based on product and number of items (pool, spa, materials, etc) and whether the house was lived in hard.
All of this is highly deceptive and completely not actionable by the typical consumer who seeks a simplistic answer. It is simply not that easy.
What you need is to have your REALTOR complete a CIS Score of the re-sale home.

In San Antonio, TX. Alot of people like to see stainless steel appliances with updated kitchens and bathrooms. Attached garages are a plus but most homes have them here, if built after 1985, garage doors openers are important. Flooring, I am finding more people looking and want wood floors in the main living areas, carpet is still ok in the bedrooms.
