I had a historic house paint color consultation before repainting my house in a shade of yellow with creamy white trim. I LOVE it - it was brown before which was totally wrong for the house. My two-family was green and I repainted it in red with black and white trim. I swear I read somewhere that red and yellow are the least favorite house colors - I have one of each and they're my favorite house colors by far. Best place to buy a one or two bedroom place is a condo or towhome. It is the contracts and developers making the choices of what they build. Three bedrooms tend to sell better then one bedroom homes do or even two bedrooms. People want the space these days to collect stuff and fill their homes, or extra space for family visits, or growth.
Condos have great options these days and are selling mush better than they used to, and if you don't want to sell it later down the road they are great investments to rent out later.... more
Find the areas that would best suit you and your future needs, look at everything that meets what you want in your future home. Take a long weekend and go check the are out so you know what type of area you will be living in, then check your price point what you can afford, get pre approved and head out with an agent. Once you find one you like make your move to purchase as it may not be there in a few weeks... inventory is short these days and homes are moving.
