I'm not sure if you're referring to a specific road or just roads in general. Most roads are county roads and are open and maintained year-around. Major emergency and school-bus routes are plowed immediately and regularly with the smaller side roads next in line. If you can plow and get out of your own driveway, you will rarely find a problem getting around on the Teller County roads in winter. It's best to have 4-wheel drive but many people get by with front-wheel drive.
