What you find your self won't help or hurt you. What you need to do is get in front of a great lender who can either get you pre-approved for a loan or inform you specifically what steps you need to take to be able to get pre-approved. There is no short cut to what a great lender can do. Many can help address previous credit issues if that becomes a problem.

I have ran into this problem before and it was solved with one call to my local title company. They can give you all of the HOA information that they have on file. You can also check with the state as HOA's have to register with the state, in Oregon anyways. Hope this helps.... more
Note that 78520 is a large area of different neighborhoods, some nicer than others. I live in a nice area of 78520. Brownsville is a great town with a good University which is expanding, a new Museum of Fine Arts and a beautiful community of palm trees and tropical plants.
