Thanks to all for the replies! The question box left little room to expound on my situation. What I am doing is converting my existing mortgage and primary residence to a conventional cash-out refi investment property. Then, I am buying a second property which will become my primary residence and will be eligible for an FHA. The reason I asked about the appraisals; my broker only had me sign one (1) credit card authorization form for one (1) appraisal, which ended up being for the conventional refi. The second appraisal (FHA) has been tallied with my fees and costs. I hope the previous replies and this follow up answer will be of value to others! Thanks!... more
