There are so many variables --- and choices. I guess you are asking for our personal favorites -- here's mine -- Annadale, McGavok Farms, River Oaks. There is a new one being built over off Granny White -- the Voce....new phase being built now -- spectacular custom builds with pastoral settings.... more
Williamson County is a great place to select a home and there are options for many price ranges under a million bucks (although there are a lot over that mark too). Without knowing more criteria about the home you're seeking, some developments that have brand new construction are Lockwood Glen, Tywater Crossing, Lad Park, Carothers Cove, Stream Valley, Amelia Park, and there are more.
Happy to help refine your search for you if you're still searching.

Also check out Carothers Cove which is with Ladd Park and will be where the Carothers Parkway extension will eventually connect. I know exactly where you're talking about in reference to Wilson Pk and Crockett. There have been several homes built there very recently and that area is looking really nice. Were you considering that overall area for the schools (Kenrose or Crockett)? If you like that area, there's also Breezeway over on that section of Clovercroft Rd which puts you in Clovercroft elementary. If you can push closer to $600k, you may still have an option in Chardonnay (also on Clovercroft).... more
As a predominantly executive neighborhood offering 1 acre lots (or a subdivision average including common area spaces to average 1 acre), Brentwood offers a lovely lifestyle.
Home prices in Brentwood didn't drop as drastically as many markets and they recovered sooner.
As stated earlier, there is an inventory problem. With the greatly attractive interest rates, homes are continuing to sell rapidly. An increase of 1% in interest rates could result in substantially higher mortgage payments. There is not a lot of available land so developers have little new inventory to release. Brentwood should remain a steadier market.

Contact the principal and set up an interview. You can also arrange to tour the schools you are considering. Data you find online is not always very helpful so that may not be your best resource. I had friends teach in this district and were very complimentary of it. Good luck!... more
I would strongly recommend that you consider foreclosures, REOs, and short sales, if you're sure you want to look at properties of that type. The Holt Real Estate Group has more than a little experience handling this type of transaction: so if you're looking for someone to represent you through the process, check out the link below!... more
Yes... *Talk to your Landlord*. Most are fair people and if you can work something out that may benefit both parties... maybe a buyout.... maybe there's a provision in your contract etc. But you'll do much better speaking directly with the landlord than brainstorming on your own.... more
