Hi Kevin,
Here is the link to mapquest which shows approximately 2.5 miles from I-75 at Colonial Blvd which turns into Lee Blvd in Lehigh Acres, FL.
http://mapq.st/YtRSor
There is a gated community called Olympia Point close to this intersection. Lehigh Acres is primary residence for many people that work in Ft. Myers, N Ft Myers and Bonita Springs because it offers several access roads leading to I-75. There are plans for two additional corridors to I-75. Thanks for your question.

Hello,
Most of the homes that are still out there (like this one) that have "defective" drywall are being identified as having it in the agent confidential remarks of the MLS. It would be a good idea for you to enlist the help of a Realtor that has access to the MLS so they can help you find the homes that are not showing signs of having bad drywall. You and your families health is so much more important than finding an exceptional deal on a home. There are so many construction companies that are getting into bidding battles to be able to rehab these sick homes that those low prices are creeping upwards because of the buyer competition. However, people are still a bit skeptical of buying the rehab homes even with certification the rehab was done to County specifications.
Please let me know how I may further assist you in shopping for a home here.

It would be very helpful to know where you have already tried and have been turned down and what the lender's reasoning was for not considering the loan. I would need more details before I could suggest a solution.

As you can see there are a lot of agents offering their help, and one violating what an agent can and can not do. s be careful. What you are asking for is entirely possible and with a little more or on the high end, you should be able to buy a duplex.
My advice to you, hire ONE agent and work with him / her. We all work with the same resources and some agent are better that others at it and also have better resources for there client to use. It up to you to make the decisions. If that agent is not working for you, fire him/her and get another. HAVING TOO MANY AGENTS IS NOT IN YOUR BEST INTEREST AND ONLY LEADS TO CONFUSION.
Remember: “Pictures without ALL the information are never the total picture and always the entire story ~!” Realtor Ron W ..”Pictures being shown, are attention gotcha, use to draw your interest. The rest, the information, will help you decide. Where that information comes from is IMPORTANT to you, and it may not all be on the listing information! Having an agent will get you the missing pieces. Then when you actually view the property; have it inspected where everything begins to fall into place having a pre-approval letter or proof of funds ready done ready for the seller’s hands. Sellers and Banks expect this information, before reviewing yours or any offers. Do not lose out by not having this or a Realtor® that is not the listing agent that serves the seller. Remember, the seller pays the commission!! You Get to choose your Realtor®!”

Most residential lots in Lehigh are 1/4 acres and go for about $2,500. 1/2 Acres lots go for about $3,500 to $4,000. Doesn’t matter what was paid for the lot.
You are asking about a lot on the on Lee Boulevard, the main road running through Lehigh Acres all the way to Ft Myers. Most land on Lee Blvd. would be zoned commercial, not residential. This would greatly affect both the value and the holding costs (taxes).
If you have a specific piece of property in mind, visit www.leepa.org and key in the address or the strap (tax id) number or even the owners name. This will give you the current assessed value of the piece of property and should give you lots on information regarding the subject property and the values of the surrounding properties by using the next higher or next lower property option.
Hope this helps!

Buying a home is a fun time and it can also be a scary time for a first time home buyer. There are a number of great lender to work with in the area. The important things to look for are closing costs and incentives that you may be eligible for as a first time home buyer.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
