I've closed a couple with Hubzu. Just keep in mind that the bulk of the processing is done in India and by highly compartmentalized staff. You will easily deal with 8 to 10 different people. I'm guessing it's set up factory style with lots of "piece work". My favorite was when one processor insisted on getting the pre-approval letter after we'd already sent the loan commitment. In the end we got them closed. Just keep a good sense of humor and keep in mind that the people on the other end of the emails are doing their best.... more

Hi there. The house you refer to is currently "Active With Contract". It was listed at $79,900 as a short sale subject to third party approval of sale price. It went under contract by a buyer in September 2011 and was anticipated to close in January 2012. It is not unusual for a contract to extend past the anticipated date while the lien holder and/or investor makes a decision on whether to accept the offer price. It may be possible to place a back up offer if you are interested. Many times the parties who made the initial offer lose patience and drop out before the lender makes a decision.
