Atlanta was hit by one of those every couple of years "ice" event. You would have to live in Atlanta to understand. Our "leaders" sent everyone home at 1:00 Tues as roads and streets started to ice up. Schools, businesses and Government all made the decision at the same time. The result was gridlock as everyone of driving age hit the streets at the same time. While all those drivers were sitting on the Interstate - the ice storm hit - and all the drivers were stuck in their cars. Many spent the next 18 hours sitting in their automobiles. Others got out and walked to their homes or to shelter. School kids got caught on school buses. It was a total mess!
