We always encourage foreign buyers to explore borrowing option from their homeland opportunities prior to considering those in the US.
Because risk is greater for lenders to loan to foreign nationals you can expect that rates will be higher and you will be expected to provide a larger deposit...25 to 40%. You will need to be able to demonstrate a good source of income and have a favorable credit rating as well.
Can your existing business be conducted from Florida? What sort of business is it? I believe this could have some influence.
As long as there is enough there to show that your income will maintain, along with credit and other things, you should be fine.

Often major real estate brokers will maintain a list available to a serious buyer of REO properties( of those properties they are involved ). You may want to try that approach before anything else but you must have a fair idea of area location. I'm speaking from some experience on this, but I admit that it has been several years since I used or have seen a list of that sort.... more
