Tax upset sale and probate

When you bought your home did you get title insurance? If so good they will look into it and you may have a chance. However your best thing to do now is contact an attorney.

With the info that you provided it does not sound like fraud however I am not an attorney. If he was added to the property when you bought it the only way to get him off is to go through an attorney. You need to speak with an attorney, since you were married before you bought the home he does have his rights to it even if the mortgage is in your name. If he is living there and not paying on it, it is not hurting his credit at all since the mortgage is not in his name. For you to be able to get your interest (money/ownership) you should not let the forclosure happen. If the bank takes it back you will not get anything and he can buy the property for what is owed from the bank. There are people and organizations that can help you with this but the outcome will always be the same CONSULT AN ATTORNEY. If you can't afford it call Access York and/or the York Housing Authority. If a seller is an individual or private enitity and is aware of a "red tagged" furnace then YES they must disclose it. If the seller is a bank or a government agency selling it due to foreclosre or other conveyance they do state that they have no knowledge of the property at all. Buyers must do their own inspections to find any defects and it is for information purposes only. They require you to sign a statement stating just that. With the amount of competition in the market right now the price is what will drive investors to buy. Craigslist is a great way to get it out to investors they do check it a lot but you have to make sure you are in compliance. Where is the property? I can pass it to some investors I am working with to see if they have interest.
