About Me
A Virginia Beach native, Chris was born & raised in Hampton Roads and currently lives by the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach with her husband Bryan. Chris knows the various cities & neighborhoods of Hampton Roads. The daughter and granddaughter of local builders/developers has made taking on a career as a real estate professional extremely natural to Chris. Being raised in a family where building was a focus, taught Chris the broad knowledge of the building and real estate industry as a whole. Chris loved real estate, interior design, architecture & remodeling from an early age, which led to her studies in construction management.

Committment

Chris's continuing success is attributed to her commitment and is based on the fact that her primary focus is the client. The clients' best interest is what motivates Chris. She understands that buying and selling Real Estate, especially one's own home is a very personal and at times, an emotional experience. Chris prides herself on being available to the client and following through even after the deal has closed. Chris's many years in the construction and real estate industry have given her the vast knowledge and skill to guide you, the client, through every aspect of the transaction with as much care and as little stress as possible.

Market Savvy

Chris's clients benefit from her experience, savvy marketing, enthusiastic attitude and local ties. She uses her marketing skills and virtual assistant to develop high quality marketing materials and visibility for each of her listings. Her business is largely based on appreciative past buyers and sellers. She has experience working with developers and builders which adds to her ability to be effective with both buyers and sellers. Chris is warm, caring, listens to her clients, provides first class service, is professional, efficient and detail oriented.

Profile of Success

Chris loves the entire process of helping people find the place they are going to call home. She gets to know each client really well and I take each transaction very personally. It's her honesty & integrity that have carried her in this business. She creates a comfortable & confident feeling for her clients. A majority of her business comes from referrals. She says "The highest compliment she can receive is a referral from a present or past client".
Testimonials
"“In a housing market that is currently experiencing lagging sales, long times on the selling list, we anticipated many months of people coming to look at our home and not offering us a realistic price. Chris provided us a professional and realistic comparative market analysis on the price of our home and the house sold almost immediately. She is a true consciousness representitive for her clients and has their best interest at heart. She works in the real world and nto the world of what others think a home should cost. That makes a huge difference in quickly selling a home or not. Her marketing efforts were another factor in our home sale. The overall aggresive marketing, factual pricing and the entire selling experience were painless and therefore a lot less stressful than we anticipated. And when you are getting ready to retire and move away from family and friends that means a lot. Chris and her staff made our retirement dream come true sooner than we ever expected. Their attention to detail, the constant communications and information updates was beyond anything we have experienced in dealing with a service oriented company either large or small. Now that we are leaving the area and moving into our new mountain home, we leave knowing that Chris and her team will provide others the same high level of quality service they provided to us from start to finish. We highly recommend the Chris Faircloth Team to anyone who wants a positive, realistic and overall stress free home selling experience. Great job to everyone and we thank each of your from the bottom of our hearts.”"

Good morning Allison,

I would recommend that you interview several local agents. The agent you select should have experience and in this slow market a strong agent should be thriving. I would ask them about the number of homes sold this year and last year. I would ask about their marketing plan. I would ask them for their list to sell ratio.

Feel free to visit me online for more information on selling. - Thu Aug 7 2008, 03:17

Looking for an exclusive buyers agent

Chris Faircloth answered:
Good morning M,

Great points made by responding agents. Virginia is a "buyer beware" state or Caveat Emptor, which means the buyer bares the responsibility of exercising due diligence in the purchase of real estate in Virginia. It is critical that you interview agents and that these agents do a buyer consultation with you to inform you of your rights and responsibilities. Confirm that the agents you interview are "doing busines" in this tough market and getting results. Ask for there stats number of buyer sales this year. Ask them for RECENT buyer references and permission to call them. The agent you choose should be well versed in financing options and help guide you though the closing process. A good indicator, is how responsive are they to my need and inquiries.

All the best to you in your search! - Tue Jul 15 2008, 08:50

Looking for condo in Chesapeake

Chris Faircloth answered:
Good morning M,

You have received some very good input from the agents who have responded to your request. And they are correct. One thing I felt compelled to add, is that Virginia is a "buyer beware" state or "Caveat Emptor". That said, you should discuss your options with an agent who will do a Buyer Consultation and take the time to explain your rights in detail.

Additionally, you should interview agents who not only have years of experience, but get results as well.

Best wishes in your search for a home. Greenbriar is a great area! - Tue Jul 15 2008, 04:33
