I am currently watching market to see when is the right time to make real estate investment. Would like to have more information on when is good time to buy house for investment purposes. What does it take to maintain it and when you want to sell it. What are the best places in US to invest in property? I am looking at this site to get more information on this one. there are many real estate sites such as http://www.realtor.com,http://www.zillow.com, mls.com for real estate browsing but Trulia has much more data.
Thanks for all good tips. It certainly helps to keep things in perspective during this period. Though my question was targeted to real estate community as they say real estate downturn lasts longer than recession, I wanted to know in general too whether I was the only one who thought people are overreacting to this situation. We all know we are going to face this problem and people know the history too, so it helps to talk about solutions if possible specifically real estate market situation. Again thanks for useful feedback on this topic.
I am from India originally and have seen real estate prices going up recently. Bangalore is definitely overpriced and very expensive. Not sure if investing there at this point makes sense. Search on 'NRI residence' and you will get some good information on that. - Tue Jul 24 2007, 18:36
