Sumter, SC is in the middle of the state having quick access to the beaches, mountains or lakes . Sumter is about 2 hours from the beaches, 2-3 hours from the mountains and Lake Marion is about 40 minutes away. Lake Marion has beautiful waterfront homes where you can enjoy swimming, boating or fishing. Shaw AFB is also located in Sumter so we are always welcoming new comers to the area. Sumter has many public, private and Christian schools to pick from along with activities for children. Both of my girls took dance and gymnastics at local studios and one became a cheerleader for University of SC because of great instructors here. Sumter is a friendly, growing family town close to Columbia and Florence and the perfect place for a family to be. We are not too big and not too small!!
