Question about Wesley School and Moving on to High School

Dot Chance answered:
Caesaree, there are public schools available of course. However, there are many great private schools in the area. There is Notre Dame, Oakwood, Campbell Hall and others as well as other Catholic High Schools all in North Hollywood or nearby. - Sat Oct 25 2008, 14:47

Ardella,

I ran into this same thing myself. Fortunately, I did a search on Yahoo for the address and came up with the real renta listing. The African real estate scam works like this: the scam artist takes on the name of the owner and even gets an email address under the owners name.

Then they send you a rental application and ask you to send it back to them and they will ask you to transfer money. The ads look real and they usually ask below market rent so they can scam multiple people into giving them money. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is!

Hope this helps - Sat Oct 25 2008, 14:42

How corrupt Is the real estate industry?

Dot Chance answered:
Paul, I am so sorry to hear about all your disappointing experiences. I, personally, haven't run into a lot of shady real estate professionals. I have heard they are out there.

I wish I knew more about your offers and what was actually accepted. Were you offering a large or a small down payment? Did you provide your credit scores/reports along with your offer? Were you pre-approved for a mortgage?

There are many factors that come into play when a seller considers the offer. The highest dollar amount isn't always the deciding factor.

I hope things go better for you and you find a great deal on the home of your dreams! - Sat Oct 25 2008, 14:30
