Do you think the main reason why sellers turn to FSBO is because a good chunk of the profit goes to the Agent?

Some sellers do think that they are saving money by being a FSBO. In the long run they are not saving anything and usually end up losing money on the sale of their home. The money that they would have made if they had used a Realtor. Remember as a FSBO you attract bargain hunters, people who are looking to not pay you what your home is worth. Realtors are trained to negotiate to get you what your home is worth, to market your property, to attract buyers, and to trouble shoot for you and make your selling process go smooth. 90% of all homeowners use a Realtor to sell their home, so the majority must believe there is value. - Sun Aug 24 2008, 12:30
