Can anyone tell me about Wall Homes?

Hi Michelle

You are really smart to try to find out as much as possible about any builder that you are considering using to purchase a new home. There are many builders in the North Texas area and most of them are very good, competitive, and have great warranties that they provide for their new home owners.

I always try not to be self serving when I respond to questions, but this is one time that I certainly would encourage you to use a buyer's agent. From what I know about Wall homes they are a good reputable builder with concern for their buyers and in my opinion you will be happy for years to come in their property. But, as you are out "shopping" you are probably also considering other builders.

When you use a buyer's agent, because we are out in the market on a daily bases, we know what builder is offering buyer incentives or discounts on a weekly bases. A buyer's agent also has more influence if you come across a problem during the purchase of your home. Where as you are buying one house a Buyer's agent is selling multiple homes week after week.

I noticed that a couple of responses have refered to the J D Powers Survey. Take a look at that, I think you will be pleased to see many builders on that list.

Any time you have zoning questions.............going straight to the city and planning and zoning is always the best solution. The builder (s) in Marshall Ridge are great. Be sure and remember there is more than one part of the Marshall Ridge area. Different price range, different finish out etc. Keller is a wonderful city with good schools and great location. Thanks for you question. I know you have already received some great answers, but I wanted to share my thoughts as well. It seems in the area of real estate "tradition" sometimes over steps the bounds of negotiation. I live in north Texas and in my particular area the seller almost always pays for the title policy when we are working a resale. Although when we work with a builder, traditionally, the cost is many times a buyer cost. In today's market though it seems that the word "negotiation" is taking on it's true meaning. The title policy is negotiable as is the title co etc. The lender's title cost is a basic buyer "lender cost" and as we all know, more and more the seller's are contributing toward buyer costs......I used to see buyer cost contribution limited to less expensive homes. Now we are seeing seller's contributing toward buyer costs even in much more expense homes. We are in an ever changing market and it certainly is not for the faint of heart! An Active Option Contract occurs after you and the seller have agreed on all terms on the contract. Then, during the "option" you can actually walk away for any reason, normally of course walking away is because of a repair issue where the buyer and seller cannot come to come sort of resolution.
