About Me
Welcome to My Site!

Since becoming a REALTOR®, I have had to find a balance between two extremes. I was drawn to real estate by the belief I could help people and put others first. However, the way the industry worked, it seemed that you had to project confidence, knowledge, and even a sense of superiority if you expected to succeed. I quickly learned that successful agents indeed put the customer first. In fact, they seemed to put almost everyone else first - family, friends, and even competition if that made for a better situation for everyone involved. In other words, they had become servants and had learned to humble themselves.

I do this not because I like to put myself in the limelight, but to remind you that I'm still here, and intend to be here for many years to come, eager to serve you like no other REALTOR® in our area.

I grew up in Gilroy, California and moved to Sonoma County for my education. I attended Santa Rosa Junior College and transferred to Sonoma State University to major in Energy Management & Design. My degree in short is mainly building residential homes to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
I decided to get into real estate for the love of relationships and helping peoples’ dreams come true. I am looking forward to the very special opportunity to serve you in your real estate needs.

Thanks for stopping by,
Taylor Mason

Taylor Mason answered:
It all depends on the property and the price of the property and of course how many offers are on the particular property. Yes the REO's are most of the time priced aggressively and end up going to the most solid buyer and usually a little over in price. Each property is different and should be handled differently.

We want to sell and get a bigger house, but.............

Taylor Mason answered:
Be happy your income has gone up and I would not sell right now as it is not worth it at all for many reasons. Number one it pays to have good credit so don't mess with selling now as a short sale. Number 2 you can make even more money by renting out your condo and purchasing your bigger home at the same time. Clearly, you could just stay there and be comfortable and have a piece of mind and thats shooting myself in the foot from making a sell but I'll be ok.

Bottom of the market?

Taylor Mason answered:
All I have to say is when you have found the bottom its too late.... Any home that is priced well right now is getting multiple offers. Clearly, it feels like the bottom for sellers and is a great time to purchase in my eyes. I think you will be upset if you miss this boat and wait and find out you cant get a loan in the future or prices rise and your out. I can not speak for all but I think its a great time to purchase and I am seeing a bunch of great deals as well as nice home to live in...

I am interested in purchasing an REO as a 1st time home buyer.

Taylor Mason answered:
Well I think you will like my answer. I have all of Chase Banks foreclosures or REO's in my office. Also starting to get a ton from Wells Fargo. I will say this and it is true! I hear about these properties before they hit the market and that is huge. Its is an advantage to you as a buyer to work with me not only for that reason but many more. The best thing to do is meet up. My office is in Rohnert Park on the corner of State Farm and Expressway. - Sat Aug 2 2008, 19:20
Taylor Mason answered:
Wow! Well first off let me say almost anybody can study and get their Real Estate License. Really some good points for you the next time is make sure they are a Realtor as well as having the Real Estate License and that off the bat should weed out many. The other thing is check to see how many closings they have for this year and how many escrows they have. Make sure they are not all short sales because many of those don't work out. Speak to the agents broker about how they are doing with closings escrows and such... Be careful and trust your instincts as I do the same with working with people, in fact I fire a lot of buyers based off of the feelings or senses I get from them. You should always meet face to face in a safe environment especially the first meeting. I hope this helps you for the future and go to http://www.taylor-mason.com - Fri Jul 18 2008, 15:05
