After receiving his real estate license, Scott began to quickly notice how many people were reluctant to spend so much of their hard-earned money in agent commissions. He decided to do real estate non-traditionally with flat fee and full service discounts, and found his clients much happier and his business more successful. Scott now owns and operates the Norton Team LLC which offers several packages for sellers and buyers, such as $199 flat fee listings and 1% cash back to buyers. The Norton Team gets houses sold by marketing them to thousands of active buyers and agents daily on the MLS and multiple websites. In addition, they provide constant support with offers, negotiations, settlement and closing, yard signs, fliers, and much more. Utah property owners can now sell their homes and keep their money!
Scott and Emily have been married since 2004 and together they have a baby boy named Logan. Scott is completing his Masters Degree in Health Promotion and Education at the University of Utah. He also is the head wrestling coach for Copper Hills High School. He enjoys being with his family, playing sports, snowboarding, and teaching.
Scott is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Utah Association of Realtors, the Salt Lake Board of Realtors, and a member of the Wasatch Front Regional Multiple Listing Service. He is also affiliated with Utah Select Realty, Utah’s premier real estate brokerage.
"“We decided to list our condo with the Norton Team and it was one of the best choices we have made financially. Not only did these guys save us thousands of dollars we would have paid in commission fees, but our condo sold before 10 or more condos for sale in our complex! We sold it very close to our asking price and the Norton Team took care of everything. It was a smooth process from going under contract to settlement and closing. You would be crazy to pay full commissions when you can pay a flat fee with the Norton Team and get the kind of service we did.”"

In my experience, builders are pretty set on their asking prices and we have not had much luck getting less than asking price. However, we have been able to get builders to cover closing costs, whcih obviosuly can save quite a bit of money - Sat Jul 26 2008, 19:36
WE specialize in saving money for sellers and buyers. We understand that some sellers end up being in the hole on the home loan after paying out 6% Realtor commissions. We eliminate the commissions on the listing agent side, allowing our clients to get professional real estate assistance (MLS, marketing, negotiation, paperwork, etc), and save thousands of dollars. The MLS is the absolute best selling tool for home sellers in Utah and we will get you listed on it within 24 hours of contact. We won't leave you hanging either, we provide constant ethical advise and assistance until your home is sold. No tricks or hidden fees. When you pay any commissions for real estate, you are paying too much!
WE also give buyers full assistance and share with them - our commissions that is! We will take the commissions earned from a seller and give one-third of it to our buyers ( or 1% of the home purchase price). For example, buy a home for $300,000 and you will get $3,000 cash at closing for closing costs, furniture, or anything else. This program has helped many of our first time home buyers cover their costs. Of course, as a buyer you pay zero commissions for the amount of work we give you. Why not let us search thousands of homes, set appointments, organize inspection, loans, closing, and complete your paperwork for you so that you can reduce the headaches and enjoy the process- not to mention some extra cash in the end
