a written request to be released from the buyer agency contract would be the place to start. If that doesn't work, contact the broker. It doesn't have to be a big deal. - Sat Jul 19 2008, 21:27

The buyer agent is not required to be there but sometimes the buyer is more comfortable if the buyer agent is there. I try to make it to the inspection if the buyer wants me there.
