My husband, Dmitry Koublitsky, and I are Realtors with SKBK Sotheby's International in Birmingham, Michigan. We are "high tech - high touch" Realtors, who pride ourselves in the results we achieve for our clients.
Sellers, we have one of the most innovative marketing programs you will find. Our results speak for themselves. In 2008, the majority of our listings were sold in two months or less. Among other things, we can "feature" your home on Trulia, so it will come up higher in search results. But that is only a small portion of our comprehensive marketing strategy which is focused on getting your home the attention it needs from qualified buyers and their agents.
Dmitry and I work with Cartus, that nation's largest relocation company, and are frequently helping people moving for a first time to Metro Detroit. Our company is a preferred broker in the Cartus network, and we also help many sellers transition to new destinations. Dmitry is a transplant himself. He was born in Ukraine, where we met, so he is well acquainted with relocating to the area. I was born and raised in Birmingham, and we chose to return here to raise our family.
In today's Metro Detroit real estate market, you can come out ahead, whether you are buying or selling, if you have good representation.
If you are in need of real estate marketing services or buyer representation, please call us at 248.430.4450.

Cecelia,
I used to live around the corner from that house. As I am sure you know, it is an incredible neighborhood.
Since the home is currently in the redemption period, there is a chance that the home may never actually be for sale. The owner could possibly redeem.
I have worked on high end foreclosures in Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills for a number of banks and as a buyers' agent. If you would like my help navigating the potential purchase of this house, please feel free to contact me.

Roya,
I would recommend you remove your phone number from this post. You will get tons of calls. I am a Sotheby's Realtor from Michigan, so I cannot help you with the showing, but that home might not be on the market yet. Realtytrac lists it as preforeclosure.
I would recommend you have a buyer's agent work with you on a purchase of this magnitude. Would you like me to have a Sotheby's agent call you tomorrow to help you navigate this purchase?

I can send you the complete MLS ticket so you can see pictures of the front and backyard. It looks lovely. I can't upload the file to Trulia, though so you will have to drop me an email and I will get it to you. Drop me a line at
mfrancis @ skbk.com. You will have to remove the extra spaces I left before and after the @ symbol.
It does not appear to be on the market now though. - Sun Nov 16 2008, 12:55

Angela,
I think you might want to go to the school and talk to some of the parents on the PTA and the principal to get a good gauge of parents' involvement. There is no substitute for seeing it with your own eyes. I do not know that I have noticed anyone from Hamtramck answering questions here, and Realtors are not supposed to answer questions about schools.
Good luck! - Sun Nov 16 2008, 06:00

I would have your Realtor inquire. I don't think you will get an answer on this forum, but I could be wrong. - Sat Nov 15 2008, 18:58
