Hello Rob, Seacord Road is in the "North" end of New Rochelle and the Ward School district. It is a lovely suburban area with close proximity to Nature Study Woods, the high school half a mile away, highways and parkways close by, shopping and houses of worship also within walking distance and of course a 30 minute commute to New York City. Buying property in New Rochelle is a great investment if you know what you are doing- you work with a knowledgeable agent and agency, you have thorough inspections and you don't overpay for a property. This is the best buyer's market we have seen in many years- an excellent opportunity to invest in real estate and make a great deal. New Rochelle is developing and revitalizing with a clear plan and purpose and vision. As a member of the Chamber of Commerce, we are working to build with integrity and quality and attention to family, education, environment ...We work as a community -listening to all the concerns and taking into account all the values of our citizens. We welcome your help, your interest-your ideas- and if you decide to invest here- you will find it so easy to get involved. Being Associate Broker in the leading real estate company in the area, Houlihan Lawrence, we are working directly with the developers and planners and city government to help with the growth of New Rochelle and ensure integrity and prosperity for our seller's and our buyer's. WE don't just work here- we live here-most of us- so this is HOME- it is OUR investment as well as yours. It is investment for our children and paramount in our hearts, heads and pocket books. I can not think of one reason Seacord Road area would not be a great investment. Hello Rmr- I want you to know I have lived here in New Rochelle for 25 years and now working with the Chamber of Commerce- we are in the process of rebulidng much of New Rochelle. The North Avenue corridor is being revitalized as I write. The entire area around Iona College has been redeveloped and we are working our way all the way to downtown. I would love to share more of the information about this project and if you are serious about buying here- perhaps you would like to help us. My office, Houlihan Lawrence, is working with developers and is front and center with a lot of this. Call me at 914-636-6700 and I will help you any way I can. Hello Ep, I have lived here for 25 years and i agree with Gay and Beth-it is a wonderful place to live. I am on the Chamber of Commerce and working with new developments and watching this beautiful city grow and revitalize. There is a lot of heart and warmth and love for family and education and the arts and the environment....the people here care. I think that makes this a unique and special place to live and thus invest -anywhere in New Rochelle. Mayor Noam Bramson and our police department took control immediately when this one incident took place-when the train loads of teens from the Bronx decided to head our way. Well- we showed them the exit door and we developed a plan to prevent this from happening again. Our city will not tolerate lack of respect for our people or our property. I love the downtown condos- the Leroy building- I have an amazing Penthouse listing there w panoramic views of Long Island, parts of Connecticut, and the New York City skyline and even parts of New Jersey-there is of course the Trump Towers- awesome-Knickerbocker lofts- and Lofts at New Roc. One can live in many of these w views of the sound-a couple blocks from the train- walk to all the new restaurants...and the cost of housing is much less than living in New York City. I can't think of one reason NOT to buy a luxury condo in New Rochelle. Stephen- The general market is slower but our offices are busy and our agents our working hard and working smarter- to do everything to navigate this market and target our listings to the right qualitified buyers. If you price your property right- it will sell. There are many qualified buyers who recognize that this is the best buyer's market in many years. You need an aggressive and knowledgeable agent and agency working with you to help you find these buyers and get you the best price. You need these agents to find you the best deals and negotiate best possible price on both ends -if you are selling or buying. A strong agent will be strong at the negotiating table. They are worth their price. You are worth having the best representaion. So to answer your question- the market is challenging but quite an opportunity to make the best deals in years. Make sure you are represented by the best- and this should be a profitable venture. Hello Natasha- I have lived in the New Rochelle area now for 25 years and though we are not suppose to comment on the schools personally we can guide you to sources of information. I can generally state that Westchester County is known for it's school. Now- abiding by the laws - go to schoolmatters.com and I would suggest as Beth suggested to you ( an excellent realtor by the way!) to visit the schools-ask the questions- see for yourself.
